PDR Presents Introduction

Hi ya'll

I figured since we might have some new readers after DJ MDSB's collaborative mixtape with Culture Bully and being listed on the Top 15 Mashups of 2007, I'd give a little introduction on PDR.

PDR is mashup blog, as you may have noticed. Doc Nasty and I (DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies) post around two new mashups a week. Every single one is available for free download. I think we have somewhere around 50 songs up right now. Comment if a link goes down or whatever.

YOU CAN SUBSCRIBE TO THE PDR NEWSFEED SO YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE. CLICK THIS LARGE LINK TO DO SO.

We have myspaces too:

Oh, and for all you diggers out there, DJ MDSB is on two digg pages and it would be awesome if you would also digg them so I could get past "What If God Smoked Cannabis."

Snoop Dogg and Pharrel vs. Shh... This Is A Library

Hey hey,

Sorry it's been so long since the last update, but I promise I'll make it up to you. In fact, I'll be releasing a mini-album of sorts in the next two weeks consisting of 11 new songs. Details will be revealed soon. Plus "No Snakes Attached" will be released before the end of 2008. Actually I'm aiming for a January or February release for that, but who knows.

Anyway, this is Snoop Dogg and Pharrel's "Drop It Like It's Hot" against Shh... This Is A Library's "Is This A Crush?" I promise there will be two posts this weeks.

Dem Franchise Boys, Jermain Dupri, Da Brat and Bow Wow vs. The Concretes

What's up ya'll,

Sorry for the lack of an early update, I've been busy as hell. But now, there's only one more week of classes and I'm riding easy. This song has been kicking around forever, but it's finally done. It's the remix of "I Think They Like Me" with "Fiction" by The Concretes.

Got some news for you too: thanks to a big tip from a reader, I found out that DJ MDSB was featured on the 11/28 episode of GBH Radio on East Village Radio. Here's the link.

And, after some googling, I found that I was featured on a different podcast. This time it's on http://dirrtyneedles.blogspot.com/.

What's up ya'll,

I've been busy busy busy, so that's why no new song until today. Hopefully the quality of the song will make up for it. I'll still have something in the beginning of the week though, so no worries. It's R Kelly and T.I.'s (sorry, T-Pain didn't make the cut) "I'm a Flirt" vs. Holy Fuck's "Lovely Allen." Don't know what's going on No Snakes Attached. Could be out soon, could be out in a month or so. We'll see how certain secret projects go.

Got some very exciting news about PDR, but it'll have to wait until it happens. Let's just say that it'll be the biggest thing ever to happen to us. Plus, we might get an actual domain name. Anyway, to the music!

So, the songs involved are Master P's "Act a Fool," Lil John and the East Side Boyz's "Throw It Up" against Of Montreal's "So Begins Our Alabee."

Mims vs. Black Lips

Hey ya'll,

I know it's been awhile since I last posted, but hopefully I've brought the nasty to make up for it. Doc Nasty is apparently in a coma somewhere, or at least that's what I read on the internet. He still owes me $5 so he better wake up. The song that I'm posting is Mims' "This is Why I'm Hot" against Black Lips' "Vini Vidi Vici." Get used to it. More songs later this week.

Three Six Mafia, Eightball and MJG and Young Buck vs. Mice Parade

So for the late update, it's been a very busy week here at PDR. In return for your patience, here is a new track and if you meet me in real life I'll buy you a coke. So, the two tracks featured are Three 6 Mafia (featuring Eightball and MJG and Young Buck)'s "Stay Fly" against Mice Parade's "Las Negras." The result is "Stay Fly, Las Negras." Which if you translate fully into English, makes absolutely no sense. But it sounds nice!

Youngbloodz and Lil John vs. Taken By Trees

Hello Halloweenheads,

It's DJ MDSB back with another track of spookiness that will scare you into buying stuff from me. It's Halloween weekend for those of you living somewhere that doesn't believe in H-Ween, as wee call it back home in Detroit. So, get ready to get spooky.

This song is composed of Taken By Tree's "Julia" and Youngbloodz ft. Lil John's "Damn" plus a little bonus material. The song, of course is called "Damn, Julia." Just a reminder: be my friend on myspace. And if you want to keep getting updated instantly about PDR happenings, subscribe to the feeds that we have to the right of this post.

Kanye West, Nas and KRS One vs. Ratatat

Hello everyone,

Very exciting weekend if you're a vampire. Here's my new song. It's the track Kanye, Nas, and KRS One recorded for Nike, against "Seventeen Years" by Ratatat. I don't know if using a Ratatat song for a mashup is cheating, but if it is, I'm sorry.

Also, I might be playing in Meadville, PA at some point soon so I'll keep you posted about that. You know how to reach me!

50 Cent Vs. Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Fuck what you heard, I was not shot or stabbed in Yuma and then left for dead in the gutter. I did not have a fling with Britney Spear's kid. I did not marry the elder Bush twin. I am not the cause of Anthrax.
I am simply Doc Nasty.
Get Nasty, Stay Nasty is the philosophy i live by.
this is my first new shit in a long damn time
getting a little jealous of all the success DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies was getting
so i figured it was time for me to come back as well.
As my first song back, i've used a song that can't get out of my head with one that you probably have never heard. I'm talking about Black Tongue by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and 50 Cent's I Get Money for the latter.

I didn't feel comfortable calling it I Get Black Money so without further ado

Lil Mama vs. Final Fantasy

Hey people,

Still riding the high from the mention in Culture Bully, and the fact that my folks forgot to pick me up from school for fall break and I had to take a train home at 1:45 AM. So, I didn't really have time to bring much heat to Michigan. But, now I'm back in PA so here's a fresh track of bread for you. It's Lil Mama's "Lip Gloss" against Final Fantasy's "This Is The Dream of Win and Reg."

T.I.P. vs. Jens Lekman, Bigger News

Hey everyone,

First off, you should know that today PDR, and in particular DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies was featured on the very awesome blog, Culture Bully. You can read the article HERE. Big ups and appreciation to Culture Bully for reppin' our game.

Now, in celebration of this, I'm bringing the nastiest heat that I've brought in awhile. It's TIP's "Big Things Poppin" against Jens Lekman's "Kanske Är Jag Kär I Dig" which is Swedish for "Maybe I'm In Love With You."

Just a reminder, our myspace page is linked on the right, and DJ MDSB is available for bithday parties, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, and house parties or whatever. Thanks again to Culture Bully for the article!

UNK vs. Peter, Bjorn and John

Hey folks,

Since a lot of songs from my upcoming mixtape, tentatively titled "No Snakes Attached" are half finished, I thought I would treat you to a lost track that I rediscovered this past week. Somehow, it didn't make "FutureSnake/LoveSounds," however there's a chance it could be on a later mixtape because it's too fun and stupid to leave out.

The song, by the way, is PB&J's "Young Folks," which you might've heard because the kids LOVE IT (I heard it on the radio at Sam's Club) and UNK's "2 Step," which the kids are PRETTY MUCH AMBIVALENT TOWARDS. The song is called "2 Step Folks" which makes no sense.

Also, I've noticed that we're getting somewhere around/above 20 downloads per song, so I just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the site regularly and supporting what we do. We'll play at your birthday party if you want.

You can read the article here. Can't believe how excited we are at PDR. Something nice might happen later this week, but I'll let you know when it happens.

To celebrate, we have a extra special Sunday post. This time it's Iconz and Trick Daddy's "We Thuggin" against Black Eye's "Someone Has Their Fingers Broken." It's a song. We'll be back later this week with a new jam. Until then, keep repping the site.

Spirit week is under way, and it's been a complete failure. Not a single blog has gotten back to me and I just have one new friend on the myspace. What the heck! Let's get busy.

More importantly, I got some PDR nastiness for you. This time it's Kanye West's "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" against Grizzly Bear's "Deep Sea Diver." If you think that's really funny then join the club. This marks the first time that I've used sound effects, and hopefully it's worked out nicely. Enough chat, get to work. Make me famous!

Swizz Beats vs. Travis Morrison Hellfighters

Hey children,

DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies here with another bad to okay to good mashup for you. This time it's Swizz Beat's excellent "Money In The Bank" against Travis Morrison Hellfighter's "Churchgoer." Do you see now how I made the name of the song?

Also, I had a dream where I got famous for these terrible things. Afterwards, I decided that the only reason I can get famous for no reason is to play live shows. If you hate music, feel free to drop me an email (seanholden@gmail.com) and I'll do my best to stop by. All you need is the will to see Snake Babies.

Anyway! Here's the obligatory picture and song.

James Holden is Dead, Long Live PDR

and here we go again...

DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies is a third year student who attends Allegheny
College studying in mathematics. He runs a radio show called the Hot
Dog Power Hour and has scheduled several concerts and festivals in his
area. Originally from Royal Oak, MI. DJ MDSB has been creating music
for over 5 years.

Doc Nasty, a third year student from Michigan State University
studying towards a
Communications and Business degree, hails from Royal Oak, MI. The
protege of DJ MDSB, he is an aspiring actor, writer, photographer, and
musician. More notably, he appears on a sketch comedy show which airs
on MSU's campus called Sideshow.

"We have the talent, we have the songs, we have the website, all we are
looking for is a bump in order for us to find an audience for our
songs. Anything you could do, be it a little blurb in your next
article posted or a link from your website, would be greatly
appreciated."
-James Holden 1967-2007

James Holden has passed on, after failing to alert us that we had been linked
on thehoodinternet.com since August, PDR will now be run by myself, Doc Nasty, and DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies.
All your emails should now be directed at poserboy9@yahoo.com for myself
and seanholden@gmail.com for DJ MDSB.

We thought we had called it quits, after the visitors started drying up,
all it took was a single email (that got here last month i should add) to spark this up again.
In the coming days, new songs will be coming, old classics will be reissued.
and the release of the much anticipated "Future Snake / Love Sounds"
thanks for your support.
we hold to make you proud.

once again, if you want to get in contact, shoot us an email
we'll be happy to fill up your inbox with responses.

Dropped in before rounds to put up a quick one.
Switched days with DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies, flying out to Vegas
tomorrow morning, somebody else wants to get Elvis face surgery.
Anyway, here's a picture of me taking care of your mom:

In more important news, got wind from James Holden, DJ MDSB and I's manager, that we're branching out to the vast mashup community to get the word out about P.D.R., so i'm gonna go ahead and take that a step further and ask all of my glorious fans, aka you people reading this, to rep this shit.

Put it out on the forums, from the streets, bump this shit in your cars, do whatever you can to spread the gospel of P.D.R. Let us know if you do so as well, we'll throw some swag at you I guess, or maybe some used needles I can swipe from the hospital.

Thanks ahead of time!

Without further ado, mashing up Bonecruser's "Never Scared" with Moby's "Rafters"
I present Bonecrusher vs. Moby - Never Scared of the Rafters

Have a great weekend and if you want to look like Elvis and will be in the Vegas area,
look me up and mention P.D.R. and i'll knock 20% of your bill

Yo babies,

Another day another dollar. If you want to sponsor PDR let us know because running a blog isn't cheap. Plus I don't have a job. This time it's Kevin Drew's (of Broken Social Scene) "tbtf" against Purple Ribbon All-Stars' "Kryptonite." Count your pennies because it's your lucky day.

Lil' Flip Vs. Caribou

Sup Bitches,

It's a twofer today, as in the fact that I did the surgery successfully
and made a myspace, which can be found here.
Some swedish family can take pride that they will
have monkey/human grandchildren.
And an old man can now fling poo like the best of um.

heres a picture of me kicking some germ ass

here's a song mixing up Lil' Flip's Game Over with Caribou's Crayon

Retort

I got called away to do some business overseas.
They like taking the organs of monkeys in Sweden and putting them
in the elderly. I'm not sure why or how but with a
paycheck the size of the one im getting,
I can't argue with that many zeros.

For the record, I don't have a myspace setup yet.
Got a few enemies from back in the day of living in the ol' country
You know how it is...

I'll be back Friday with a new mashup and i'll probably be up on that myspace thing

If you're stopping by the site,
feel free to say hi or something.

It's just good manners

NEWZ

Yoyo,

Just a heads up about a few things going down here at PDR. First, I should point out that DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies has a myspace. You can visit it HERE. He's even a friend of one of those spam robot webcam things. Please friend him. Not sure about Doc Nasty so keep checking for updates.

Also, DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies will maybe be putting out a mixtape sorta soon, so keep your eyez open for that.

PEACE!

Hey babies,

Not quite sure what's going on today, I was away from my computer for awhile, hence the late update. I guess we're continuing an Elephant Six streak by having this here, so hurray. It's the XXX theme song against Black Foliage (Animation One). Enjoy!

Fresh NASTY Heat

Hey Bitches,

I've been living in a spiderhole for the past week,
Fourth of July is my weakness.
Thanks to DJ Million Dollar Snake Babies for holding this shit down

I know you're all gonna say "Well shit Doc Nasty, I still got herpes, but why are you giving away your best track like that?"
Simple answer "I'm lonely..."
Without further ado, heres a picture of me at my nine to five (the reason why i can't be popping these gems out everyday)
